Ovarian Cancer Healed

I'm thankful to God everyday that I am a walking miracle. In August 2008 I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. This type of cancer is known as a silent killer, because it does not produce symptoms until it has already spread throughout the body. I had gone to radiology to receive an ultrasound for a pain on my left side. Nothing was found on my left side, but the Lord was with me, because in the course of running the ultrasound, radiology "stumbled" across a small tumor on my right ovary. My doctor removed it and learned that it was cancer.

I was scheduled for a follow-up surgery with an oncologist in September '08. I prayed in agreement with a minister from my church,

that all the cancer would be removed, and that I would not require any chemo. September 22nd, the doctor operated on six organs, permanently removing two, temporarily removing one, and permanently removing portions of two others to catch the path of cancer and to destroy endometriosis, which was also present. The hospital staff was amazed that two days later, I was up and walking around the hospital floor. After four days I required very little pain medication. It was nothing short of a miracle.

After being hospitalized for 10 days, my doctor came into my room and announced good news that he had caught all the cancer, and that it would be okay for me to go home. No chemotherapy would be necessary.

In addition to the Lord meeting my physical healing needs, he also gave me the favor I needed to have the surgery performed with no insurance coverage at the time. The hospital's financial assistance program discounted the cost of both my surgeries by 100%.

Today I am cancer free and after extensive surgery, every organ of my body is functioning properly. I praise God everyday for revealing my enemy of cancer when it tried to sneak up on me silently. I thank him for giving me favor concerning finances to cover the cost of surgery, and I'm thankful that he granted my petition for healing without chemo. More than anything I'm thankful for the gift that he sent us in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ, whose blood is able to cover us and redeem us from the curse of sickness. Our God never ceases to perform mighty miracles!
